The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries where their next meal is coming from. Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers. We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

About the Role:
As a Business Analyst within our ePMO team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of strategic projects and initiatives across our organization. You will be at the forefront of requirement gathering, analysis, and documentation, working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment between business needs and project deliverables. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of our project management processes and drive positive change within our organization. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging your analytical skills to extract meaningful insights from project-related data and inform decision-making. Communication and stakeholder management will be key aspects of this role, as you facilitate discussions, provide regular updates, and ensure that project objectives are clearly understood and met.
What You’ll Do:

Requirements Gathering, Project Planning, Data Analysis:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for projects within the ePMO.
  • Gather information from multiple sources such as meetings, interviews, document review, and task/workflow analysis.
  • Conduct thorough research and data analysis to understand business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with management, business users, and technical staff to understand business processes, desires, and problems to be addressed.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to extract meaningful insights from project-related data.
  • Assists with analyzing, developing, and revising existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, timelines, and documentation.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Helps in developing detailed requirements with business partners and system definition.
  • Create and maintain reports to track project progress, key performance indicators, and other relevant metrics.

Stakeholder Communication, Quality Assurance, and Process Improvement:

  • Facilitate communication between business units, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project status and escalate issues as needed.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure that project deliverables meet established standards and requirements.
  • Collaborate with testing teams to validate that solutions meet business needs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the ePMO and related business functions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Extremely knowledgeable in a project management or ePMO environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

  • Proficient in using project management tools and data analysis software.
  • Familiarity with Food Banking and software infrastructure projects or related business processes is a plus.
