Description:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a focus on Data Standards and Policy Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, implementing, and enforcing data standards and policies across the organization. The successful candidate will have experience in the healthcare sector and expertise in data transmission standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement data standards and policies to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into data policies.
- Conduct data analysis to identify gaps and inconsistencies in data standards and policies.
- Monitor compliance with data standards and policies and report on performance.
- Utilize project management skills to support documentation needs, run collaboration meetings, ensure action items are tracked, and translate feedback into written policy and implementation plans.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in the healthcare or public health sector
- Strong understanding of data management principles and methodologies
- Possession of excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Possession of strong communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Active CDC smartcard/PIV
Nice to haves:
- Experience with data transmission standards, including HL7 and FHIR, ensuring effective data exchange
- Experience with data standards governance
- Experience with multiple data catalogs
- Knowledge of international regulations, requirements and guidance associated with clinical data standards and the preparation of data sets for regulatory submission.
- Knowledge of data management best practices, including those published by the Data Management Association (DAMA) or Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)
