Our Process, Management and Quality team is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Business Analyst to define, implement and govern all Information Security and Data Governance practices and processes.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Our PMQ team is currently looking for an experienced Business Analyst who will be responsible for ensuring that the product vision, strategy, roadmap, requirements, and priorities for the financial services we deliver are clearly defined and aligned to our stakeholder and customer needs and expectations. The core focus will be assisting in gathering and defining the requirements, analysing and clearly capturing business processes, outlining user journeys and functional requirements, and evaluating whether the current or planned state of our systems and processes are fit for purpose.
This is a full time, permanent contract based in Mulgrave, Melbourne.
Additionally, the role is responsible for: (this list is not exhaustive) Consulting internally to understand the objectives of any proposed business changes (new, enhance, optimise or remediate) to develop solutions that will deliver the desired outcomes.
- Turning user requirements into practical solutions and a set of functional specifications, considering constraints and limitations of the system.
- Working effectively with and communicating plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Developing functional and user acceptance test plans to assess product quality against guidelines and standards.
- Defining business solutions and transform user stories / use cases for IT and Vendors to deliver system solution accordingly.
- Coach business SMEs and Process Owners on the system and new features and support maintaining documentation, including user manuals and instruction, and sign offs.
- Risk mitigation planning and ensuring all solutions/changes meet risk and compliance requirements.
- Support and undertake release cycle activities which includes developing user stories (defining functional requirements), acceptance criteria, writing test cases and undertaking acceptance testing.
- Provide training of system changes to internal business users and other stakeholders.
- Deliver process design and improvement recommendations and solutions to senior stakeholders and business SMEs.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THIS ROLE
- 5 years’ experience in Financial Services or Service Industry.
- Knowledge of Agile development toolsets such as Jira and Confluence.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesise and present complex information into formats that resonate with the target audience.
- Develop and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of business processes, workflows, and system requirements.
- Working knowledge of / experience with Agile methodology preferred.
- Working knowledge of Project delivery preferred including business testing.
- Previous regulatory and/or compliance experience/exposure
