Business Analyst (CA)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum honours degree in Accounting
• CA (SA) qualification
• Big four articles advantageous
• 1-3 years post article experience
• SAP experience will be an advantage
• Strong computer literacy - MS Office and Business Systems
• Must be willing to work irregular hours and travel if required
• A Valid drivers license

DUTIES:

• Assuming the role as business partner with sales, operations and other business functions in the provision of timely and accurate analytical information
• Support the General Manager and Finance Manager in improving business operational performance through fact based analysis
• Facilitating better decision making among managers
• Being the central source for finance based analytical information for local and global initiatives
• Focusing on strategic analysis, analysing forward looking trends whilst recognising past performances
• Departmental Management - manage Accounts Payable function
• Free Cash Flow Contribution - Managing working capital (accounts payable, receivable and fixed assets)
• Expenditure & Risk Management
• Manage Financial Reporting and Analysis function (month end/ journals/ analysis etc.
• Preparation of Annual Financial Statements in line with IFRS
• Assist Financial Manager with preparation and submission of annual budgets and quarterly forecasting
• Assist Financial Manager and Controller with effective Tax Management and Corporate Governance
• Assist with internal and external audit process
• Perform variance analysis and provide reasons for fluctuations in financial results
• Effective treasury/Cash Management and weekly cash forecasting
• Leading relevant projects
• Manage and implement continuous improvement and Projects
• Pro-actively raise profitability issues to management
• Preparation and timely distribution of financial information to management
