Description:

Fusion Health is seeking a bright, motivated, and outgoing Business Analyst to join our Operations team at our Topeka, KS office location! This candidate will participate in dynamic and challenging projects to bridge the gap between our technology teams and the business by assessing processes, determining and documenting requirements, and delivering data-driven recommendations to stakeholders. Responsibilities:

The Operations team is vital to our organization’s mission and growth. This role will assist with a multitude of projects that will enhance the Operations team’s success, such as:

  • Engage in stimulating projects focused on collecting, comprehending, and documenting a wide spectrum of requirements, project objectives, workflows, business requirements, gaps, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Craft precise and succinct requirements through user stories, guaranteeing their completeness, feasibility, and verifiability.
  • Collaborate with clients and developers to enhance user stories with the necessary specifications, examples, and acceptance criteria.
  • Translate business and client requirements into functional specifications and process flows, ensuring that the level of detail aligns with the needs of the software development team.
  • Collaborate across technical and business teams to define project scope.
  • Identify key risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact project success.
  • Coordinate with the internal testing team to identify key test cases and success criteria.
  • Identify gaps in current products or solutions and actively participate in creating new solutions to address these deficiencies.
  • Interpret business challenges, identify trends, and recommend best practices.
  • Solve difficult problems as needed by proposing insightful, knowledgeable, and effective solutions.
  • Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy.
  • Evaluate risks in the decision-making process, with a specific focus on Fusion’s clients and products.
  • Uphold compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and proactively address, oversee, and report any issues through escalation and management.

  • Bachelor’s (4 years) degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related business field.
  • 3+ years of related work experience as Business Analyst in a software development environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and communication skills with the demonstrative ability to work with all levels of an organization
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in a team-based agile development environment
  • Ability to work on diverse projects under tight deadlines
  • Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly
  • Excellent project-management and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to work efficiently in a results-oriented environment
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus
  • Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) is a plus
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry is a plu
