Description:

Experience working within State Government or Emergency Services is mandatory.

Key accountabilities:

  • Provide key information by completing impact analysis for Business, ECIS and ECS, documenting “as-is” and “to-be” business processes and gather and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Assist with solving complex technical and business issues to resolution.
  • Design, lead and facilitate workshops as required.
  • Assist in the development of a quality management plan with the provision of quality targets and assessment.
  • Assist with the development of the testing strategy and test plans in conjunction with ITS and the business and support the testing program and the resolution of testing issues.
  • Assist in the Corporate Planning activity, including data collection and reporting.
  • Assist in the development of end user training material and work instructions for ITS support processes and other processes, where required.
  • Foster and maintain a positive protective security culture at the organisation by adhering to security policies, standards, and procedures, reporting suspected and actual security incidents and ensuring sensitive and classified public sector information is protected from unauthorised disclosure or compromise

Responsibilities:

YOUR NEW ROLE

The Business Analyst role is to provide key information, specifically in the areas of Business impact assessment, current state mapping and requirements gathering, to enable the role to map ‘to be’ business processes, assist in the collation of business rules, data modelling and provide quality inputs which will inform the business case.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience working within State Government organisations
  • Extensive/Demonstrable experience and application of business process improvement, business analysis, business requirements gathering, data analysis and testing management including techniques, methodologies, tools and best practice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and workshop facilitation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagements skills and ability to influence others to obtain support and work towards a common goal.
  • The successful applicant must satisfy the National Police Records Check standard that includes fingerprinting.
  • Availability to work 5 days in the office fortnight - office is located in Burwood East

Specialist / Technical / IT Expertise

  • Previous experience with the implementation of telephony or Call Centre Applications in a
  • complex technical and operational environment will be considered favourably.
  • Experience with Workforce Management systems.
