Description:
A DAY IN THE LIFE
The Business Analyst is responsible for maintaining robust execution of resource planning tools to support the organization and for collaborating with all necessary parties. Further, the analyst provides workforce related forecasting, data, and analytical support to field operations in North America, and ensures tactical decisions meet the objectives of the strategic goals of the Company.
This role requires strategic partnership with the Senior Leadership Team, HR Leadership Team, overall HR team, outside counsel and consultants to achieve HR and company goals. The person in this role partners to develop and run workforce analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and supporting the implementation of industry-leading resource planning best practice strategies and processes.
- Collect data from all Hertz systems and conduct trend analyses, both quantitative and qualitative.
- Solve complex analytical problems using quantitative approaches using unique blend of technical, business mathematical, analytical and data skills
- Using statistical computer languages to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
- Analyzing data from 3rd party providers
- Works with stations to develop standard performance metrics, to identify effectiveness in delivery of manpower to daily targets, as well as effectiveness in staffing at optimal headcount.
- Documents, communicates and mentors stations on the implementation of long-term and short-term manpower planning best practice processes to cost effectively improve service to customers.
- Works with current Shift-Bid Optimization and Labor Planning Tools to identify opportunities to cost effectively re-position manpower to reduce service defects.
- Proactively identifies opportunities and specific recommendations to improve operational and cost performance
- A passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders/vendors to improve business outcomes.
