Description:
Overview:
The Business Analyst II is an important part of the software implementation, development, and support lifecycle process at Sprouts. The candidate for this position will have prior experience with the collection and documentation of requirements within the software implementation, integration, and custom development context. This role will also require strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills to solve a range of problems and to analyze possible solutions using standard procedures. The candidate for this position will receive a moderate level of guidance and direction while building their knowledge of the organization and its processes.
Essential Functions:
- Reviews and analyzes system problems to identify solutions or make referrals
- Plans, designs, and analyzes user requirements for development and/or support
- Basic system requirement identification and documentation analysis
- Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions/interviews
- Understand and document Business requirements
- Create current and future state business process diagrams
- Translate requirements into Use Cases and Use Cases into Test Cases
- Create visual representations of systems, either current state or desired end state
- Create source to target mappings for data migration and integration projects.
- Perform application and system testing as needed
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- 2+ years of direct experience gathering and documenting requirements for system implementations or custom development
- Knowledgeable in database and software application techniques and trends
- Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Familiar with relational databases and data modeling techniques
- Familiar with Web based reporting tools – SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI.
- Familiar with concepts like object-oriented programming, responsive design, mobile technologies, client-side scripting.
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Retail environment experience is preferred but not required
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite user, including MS Visio
- Familiarity with Microsoft core technologies
- Adept at change management and release management policies and procedures
