Description:
THE COMPANY
Our client is a global consulting firm working with a global Investment Management Group. We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our client on a large-scale project. This is a 12 months contract with possibility of extension.
The Business Analyst will primarily analyse the current state and document operational processes for various functional areas within the middle & back office, covering Trade Management, Cash Operations, Fund Operations, Corporate actions, Reconciliations, Derivative & Collateral and Private Assets Operations.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather data, document business processes, develop functional specifications and participate actively in target-state solution exercises. Additionally, you will deal with clients independently and have enough expertise to solve complex issues.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather data and analyze current state workflows related to Trade Management, Cash Operations, Fund Operations, Corporate actions, Reconciliations, Derivative & Collateral and Private Assets Operations.
- Work with third-party vendors to coordinate due diligence on middle-office operational processes.
- Identify, document, and manage project risks and issues related to the due diligence process.
- Develop functional specifications and document business processes for various functional areas.
- Prepare materials for requirements definition documents, including process flows, use cases, and user stories.
- Participate actively in workshops, including leading discussions for areas where BA has been involved in documentation.
- Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively communicate project status, risks, and issues.
- Continuously improve processes and methodologies for documenting current state operational workflows.
- Participate actively in the development of test scenarios & validating test results.
- Extract and document data for all portfolios, custodian accounts, and counterparty accounts.
- Conduct research to identify and verify account information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Work with custodians and counterparties to obtain the necessary information promptly and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure the quality and relevance of data being received and shared third-party is accurate and current.
- Organize and maintain documentation, ensuring all relevant data is appropriately recorded and accessible.
- Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide regular updates and reports on the status of all activities to management and other stakeholders.
