Description:
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient in the English language with strong communication skills.
- 5 years of experience with a Canadian / USA business
- 2+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on sales, operations and/or market analysis.
- Experience in SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Report Builder
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Business Analytics/Analyst certification is an asset (e.g., PBA (PMI)).
- Strong financial and business understanding and the ability to influence and collaborate with the executive leadership team.
- Process Mapping for Data Integrity.
- CRM exposure
- Familiarity with the heavy equipment manufacturing industry is an asset.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
The Commercial-Focused Business Analyst for K-Tec will analyze market trends, assess sales data, and collaborate with the sales team to optimize strategies. Responsibilities include working closely with the sales team, operations, and materials planning; developing sales forecasts, identifying growth opportunities, and providing actionable insights to enhance overall sales performance. Strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations are essential for success in this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data validation and verification; identifying and correcting inconsistencies, and inaccurate data.
- Collaborate with the sales, finance, and operations teams to analyze market trends, identify sales opportunities, and analyze data related to customer preferences, pricing, and product performance.
- Work closely with finance to develop accurate sales forecasts, aligning with budgetary goals and financial planning, providing insights to optimize inventory and production planning.
- Analyze pricing strategies, product performance, and cost structures to optimize profitability.
- Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards, communicating key performance metrics and trends to cross-functional teams and the executive committee.
- Conduct in-depth analyses supporting strategic decisions, ensuring alignment of market requirements with overall business objectives including pricing strategies and product positioning.
- Foster effective communication channels between sales, finance, and operations to streamline processes and enhance collaboration.
