Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: circa £50,000 depending on experience
Location: Canary Wharf
WFH policy: Employees are required to attend the office 2 days/week
Flexible working: Informal flexible work patterns subject to line manager discretion including a 9-day fortnight.

SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

Essential:

  • At least 3 years experience of delivering within complex change initiatives as a business analyst.
  • Able to create BPMN and UML standard documentation.
  • Experience of working with Agile and/or waterfall methodologies and able to demonstrate appropriate choice of application depending on context.
  • Experience of developing User Stories in collaboration with Product Owners and Developers.
  • Able to use Excel, Visio, and PMO software to a high standard.
  • Strong influencing and decision-making skills, showing clear leadership when it comes to driving out the definition of a problem and its solution.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working in the energy sector, settlements systems, Fintech and/or government environments would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in an Agile environment.
  • IIBA, BCS, OCEB, OCUP or other relevant accreditation desirable.
  • Jira/Confluence experience.

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

LCCC has a culture of continuous improvement, as well as change being at the heart of our business model. We work in the energy sector, where continual regulatory and market driven change are prevalent, and are taking on new roles to support the delivery of Net Zero schemes.
This Business Analyst will be part of a team of Business Analysts optimising processes and systems across the organisation. This includes supporting the implementation of digital solutions and financial settlements of Power Carbon Capture & Storage and Hydrogen; major changes to the Contracts for Difference scheme for future allocation rounds; and improvements to the Capacity Market scheme. They will also contribute to shared deliverables with EMRS, National Grid ESO, Ofgem and DSNEZ.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help maintain the LCCC Operating Model and Process Architecture. Promote their use as a source of corporate knowledge and for assessing impacts of changes.
  • Provide business analysis support across the company aligned with methodology and tools driven centrally by the Change team including requirements gathering and creation of technical documentation to support change delivery such as BPMN, UML, use cases, behaviour-driven development, user stories, wireframes and UAT.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers to build change impact into planning and design in a structured way, and feed change outcomes back into the Operating Model and Process Architecture for knowledge management.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support their delivery across the business, including lessons learnt from change projects.
  • Support the development of business analysis tools, techniques and standards to enable a consistent and best practice approach to change management.
  • Collaborate on change with external delivery partners such as EMRS, National Grid ESO, Ofgem and DSNEZ.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Present analysis and recommendations at a range of forums.
