Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

The Business Analyst will report to the Programme Manager and will play a key role as part of the Programme team including the development of commercial business cases, financial models, impact assessments policies and procedures. This role requires flexible collaboration across the team, and across the business as imperatives dictate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Convert the outcomes of the Growth Strategy into action plans and deliverables
  • Providing high quality input and analysis supporting the development and implementation of program, specifically in relation to business planning, investment modelling and policy/regulatory development.
  • Oversee financial progress on external supported projects and provide progress reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop contracts for Renewable Gas customers and oversee internal and external approval of these contracts and approvals;
  • Support engagement with the Corporate Responsibility Users (CRU) in further developing the overall regulatory framework in collaboration with the Regulatory team, including assessing and developing further measures as required to ensure the development of the embryonic biomethane industry.
  • Contribute to the planning, developing and progressing of a policy strategy for biomethane in Ireland to advance the organisations ambitions. Identify what policies, both Irish and European, are needed to support expansion strategies. Contribute to appropriate policy responses to national and European consultations.
  • Monitor national and European policy developments related to energy, renewables, climate change, environment, transport and heat.
  • Participate in Growth projects providing commercial and financial expertise;
  • Maintain up-to-date technical and commercial information on the complete Renewable Gas Supply chain with regards to international best practice;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers;
  • Liaise and coordinate Renewable Gas working groups to ensure commercial outputs achieved;
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on market development progress;
  • Support the delivery of the goals of the Biomethane Programme.
  • Ensure value for money is achieved at all levels of the Renewable Gas;
  • Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
