Business Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Analyst will primarily support efforts to develop and implement reports/analysis across the organization and lead efforts to develop/implement automated processes for the business. Responsibilities will include engaging with stakeholders to understand business requirements, identifying potential solutions using new or existing tools, and implementing strategies that improve business intelligence capabilities and drive strategic decision making.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES)

• A bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in business analysis or a related field preferred.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI and UiPath a plus.
• Desire to learn new skills, applications, and technologies.
• Positive attitude and team player.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Collaborate with management and staff from across the organization to understand business issues and identify data analytics and reporting requirements.
• Design and build solutions to automate or streamline existing processes. Technical solutions will vary.
• Understand the data architecture and reporting capabilities of existing business systems, evaluating the opportunities and limitations for these systems to provide strategic business data.
• Create documentation that will translate business needs into requirements that can be understood by management and staff.
• Ensure that proposed solutions meet user needs and satisfy business objectives and initiatives.
• Assist in creation and implementation of test plans that are mapped to documented requirements.
• Perform and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) as required on department related projects.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed to answer specific business questions and produce actionable insights.
• Manage special projects as assigned by IT management.
