GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  • Popular is seeking a talented Business Analyst to join our credit cards team and drive process improvement through data analysis and collaboration and drive growth in our credit card business. This role will play a critical role in analyzing and executing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions. Must have strong analytical skills, be an effective communicator and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University is required. Degree concentration in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience working with payment networks, banking and the payment ecosystem is preferred. At least two years’ related experience in business analysis or project coordination.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Communication Oral and Written: (Spanish and English) speak and write clearly and persuasively, demonstrate group presentation skills, present numerical data effectively.
  • Proficient in use of Office 365 tools: Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Power BI, Teams among others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required to translate conceptual thinking into possible project requirements.
  • Skills to prioritize work, manage time, and respond effectively to a rapidly changing environment.
  • A team player attitude with deep commitment to business results.
  • Willingness to learn in an independent manner, research to solve challenges and technical matters related to networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Will be responsible for overseeing and managing plastic cards inventory, including supporting the budget process.
  • Additional responsibilities will include oversight and management of test card processes, Priority Pass offering, change management processes, BINs management and chip management.
  • Responsible for managing the purchase orders and invoicing process of providers such as Vericast, Priority Pass, TSYS, among others.
  • Evaluate new services, solutions and/or processes offered by the Payment Networks, conduct a cost-benefit impact analysis, present the benefits to the business and support units, and provide support in the implementation, as needed.
  • Responsible for monitoring of Payment Networks (Visa, Mastercard and Amex) operational matters including impact analysis of new rules, communication to support groups and follow up on implementation requirements. Close collaboration and communication with the Payment Networks will be part of the responsibilities.
  • Monitor and analyze KPI’s to measure the success of implemented solutions.
  • Work as a liaison among different areas and units to obtain, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements and functional specifications. Provide support for changes in business processes and applications, as well as understand the strategies that are being carried out to ensure optimal operational performance.
  • Provide support to special projects, implementations, advice and facilitate solutions to new initiatives, ensuring that solutions are appropriate and aligned with the strategy. Prepare, document, and deliver mapping processes, business requirements, project definitions, change requests, etc.
