Description:

Join the our Winnipeg government client’s Innovation and Technology Department as a Business System Analyst on an initial 12-month contract, spearheading transformative digital permit initiatives within the Planning, Property & Development Department. QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ years of relevant and recent experience performing business & system analysis and user experience of web-based and mobile-based enterprise applications including their integrations with other systems, with large technical and business changes.
  • 8+ years of relevant and recent experience in UI design (screen flow and task flow), writing functional and non-functional specs and documenting usability requirements for Enterprise web and mobile-based applications.
  • 5+ years of recent experience transforming business requirements into technical specifications for Enterprise applications and portals.
  • 3+ years of recent experience in performing usability evaluations (heuristic review, expert review and

usability testing) of Enterprise applications and portal.

  • 3+ years of experience involving the analysis and mapping of government, public sector, financial institutions, insurance holdings companies or other regulatory compliance workflows.
  • 3+ years of experience with Amanda Enterprise application configuration including at least one year of experience with the AMANDA 7 version.

Skills and Depth:

  • Demonstrated recent experience (3 projects or more) in business and systems requirements analysis (functional and non-functional requirements, UI Specifications, UI screen design, user stories, etc.).
  • Demonstrated recent experience (3 projects or more) in gathering usability requirements, performing usability evaluations and creating UX design for enterprise web application and portal.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interview and facilitate meetings with stakeholders at all levels in the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating customer requirements via workshops, site visits, workflow storyboards, and other methods for the new addition to Permits Online Platform and the manual process digitalization in Amanda.
  • Gathering usability requirements, performing usability evaluations and creating UX design for Amanda and Permits Online Platform units.
  • Creating functional and non-functional requirements documents, UI specifications, UI screen design

(wireframes and visual design), user stories, etc. for the new Permits Online Platform.

  • Communicating changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements – verbally or through written documentation – to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions

are understood.

  • Managing and tracking the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforcing and redefining as necessary.
  • Coordinating user acceptance testing and transition to production activities.
