Position: Business Analyst
Contract Duration: Until December 2024 (with possible extension)
Location: Brisbane CBD
In this role, you will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of Information Management System. Plus, you will influence the development of a new user interface, service layers, and facilitate the transition of services to the cloud.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Business Analyst experience in IT environments with expertise in requirements development
• Proficiency in cost-benefit analysis, analytical thinking, and problem-solving
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Facilitation and elicitation skills to lead discussions on desired outcomes and requirements.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Understanding of broader business issues, governance frameworks, and software development life cycle
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks and experience in applying them in an ICT environment
• Experience in an ICT operational environment

• Analyze and identify business process changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand organisational structure, policies, and operations, recommending technology solutions to achieve agency outcomes.
• Elicit and document business requirements using various analysis techniques.
• Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements and software specifications.
• Ensure clear communication of business requirements to software development and test teams.
• Contribute to risk identification and mitigation strategies.
• Foster strong relationships with business and technical teams to inform ICT solution design.
• Facilitate workshops to clarify and negotiate business outcomes.
• Maintain a professional focus on customer needs and expectations.
