UVA’s Information Technology Services (ITS) is seeking a Business Systems Analyst responsible for collaborating with department and school administrators, central office and ITS staff, students, applicants, and vendors on issues related to the student system and other products that interface with the student system. Duties include assessing, redesigning, and fine-tune existing business processes, and implementing or updating desired solutions, training, security, and reports. The analyst will review and create high quality technical specifications and will collaborate with the other team members to research, test, and debug modifications or new functionality within the student system or systems that interface with the student system.
The analyst will be expected to work collaboratively with their team, students, central offices, schools and departments, vendors, and fellow ITS employees. The analyst will be responsible for responding to all inquiries from all constituencies in a timely manner. They will investigate and work with fellow team members to trouble-shoot system related issues. The analyst is also responsible for maintaining configuration and setup for the relevant technology.

  • The SIS team works primarily in PeopleSoft so previous PS experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to analyze and propose innovative solutions and troubleshoot complex issues. Advanced technical skills and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to achieve success within a rapidly changing and, at times, uncertain environment. Must be comfortable with and inspired by the prospect of change.
