Responsibilities:

OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

The Business Analyst is responsible for working with key stakeholders to assess and understand business processes and recommend how those processes can be implemented and improved by leveraging technology. This role will be a key resource in gathering and developing requirements for operations, projects, and will provide input into the scrum methodology for delivering sprints for various products within the Reservation Platforms portfolio. Critical to the technology roadmap for the supported business unit, the business analyst will provide input and feedback to the Product Owner / Manager related to the multi-year lifecycle of the products they support.

KEY DELIVERABLES / RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Analyze business and technology processes to understand areas of improvement / efficiency.
  • Requirements gathering and development for operations, projects, sprints.
  • Stakeholder management with business partners and technology peers, describe product functionality and criticality to overall business performance.
  • Contribute to the product roadmaps in conjunction with the Product Owner / Manager.
  • Participate in scrum process by assessing functionality delivered in sprints, development of user stories, prioritization activities.
  • Communicate to business and technology stakeholders intake process, working with teams on forming requests with detail that lead to high quality estimates and plans.
  • Champion for technology within external business stakeholder groups.
  • Research market innovations and advancements within product and business process area.
  • Participate in the development of business cases and budgeting process.
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional, cross-organization teams to negotiate and integrate project plans, secure commitments on deliverables, and resolve blocking issues
  • Identify stakeholders and manage at varying levels within the organization, tailoring your style and approach to meet their needs, both in-person and remote
  • Work with the business or cross-functional team to clarify problem statements. Apply methodical problem-solving, critical thinking and root cause analysis to dissect complex issues into logical components.
