BUSINESS ANALYST – MS WINDOWS 11
On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking an intermediate BA a twelve (12) month engagement based in Burnaby, British Columbia. While this client is pleased to offer a remote work model when possible, however this role will require frequent site visits throughout the lower mainland.
Business Analyst Job Details
- The following will be done in collaboration with the project team, plus key DMST team members (as required).
- Completion of assigned detailed assessments (various) to inform technical and user requirements, as well as strategy development, planning and rollout of Windows 11
- Co-facilitate requirements gathering and engagement sessions with clinical and business stakeholders to extract requirements, document as required
- Develop current state documentation, design documents, requirements analysis, use cases, process flows, procedures, and policies
- Translate user clinical/business requirements into technical requirements for the technical solutioning teams (as required).
- Provide support and insight/recommendations re: the design, development & implementation of a Windows 11 deployment strategy, approach and plan across all compatible environments (e.g. desktops, laptops, VDI)
- Support the Project with many aspects of project delivery including planning, risk management, deliverables, communication, reporting and stakeholder engagement
- Draft reports, briefing notes, and other supportive documentation for clinical management and project governance (i.e. readiness and/or sustainment).
- Liaise/collaborate with DMST Leadership, DMST Desktop Technologies / Application Teams, other application IT Partner Groups and internal teams to conduct research and testing and to document findings
- Perform other role related duties and project activities as directed
- Completion of core assessments (e.g., current state, feasibility, etc.) and requirements gathering outcomes (to be completed within project schedule timelines/plans)
- Creation of all supporting documentation, diagrams, workflows (i.e. swim lanes, etc.), processes, procedures, etc. to support project; as well as handover/transition to steady-state operations (e.g., DMST, PDHIS, etc.) and to support future state requirements
- Identify, collect, document and analyze Windows usage requirements within the environment today (outcomes of engagement, analysis, etc.)
- Updated Service Desk support processes to align with the future state support model; ensuring NTT and any other vendor service provider clarity, accountabilities, etc.
- A Windows 11 Deployment Approach and Scheduling Framework including “how” Windows updates are to be rolled out across the HAs, in what sequence and with what oversight
- Deployment lists using available tools (Juriba, Lansweeper, SCCM, Active Directory) grouping 40,000+ devices across all sites into a number of deployment groupings for execution by NTT. Managing exclusion devices and tracking completion and error reports
- Materials needed to support Business Case and Briefing Notes to obtain any/all additional funding needed
- Agendas, minutes, presentation decks, etc. to support key deliverables, stakeholder engagement, governance, senior leadership, etc.
- Other deliverables as defined by DMST Leadership and/or Project Team Sr. Project Manager
Business Analyst Mandatory Skills
- Experience working on technology projects in healthcare setting; with a focus on achieving an excellent user experience
- Superior analytical skills including the ability to comprehend, analyze and resolve complex issues
- Intermediate business analysis skills and experience in business/clinical processes development and re-engineering
- Ability to extract information and knowledge from complex sources.
- Ability to effectively navigate and deliver results in a large, complex and ambiguous IT environment
- In-depth understanding of Microsoft offering (operating systems, Office suite of applications), principles of Software as a Service
- Ability to independently deliver work results, coordinate, prioritize and complete multiple tasks
- Prior experience collaborating/working with various stakeholders: IT professionals, Business and Clinical Senior Management teams, Executives; and vendor partners
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and topics in to non-subject matter experts
- Excellent MS Office skills: spreadsheets, word processing software and presentation software
- Demonstrated successful experience working on a technical implementation project; health care experience is strongly preferred.
Business Analyst Nice-To-Have Skills
- Experience working within the BC Health Authorities
- Experience implementing Windows 11 in a public sector organization
- Understanding of Microsoft’s licensing model and the downstream impact on the end users
