Description:

Join our client as they seek two temporary Business Analysts for an initial 6-month contract, integral to supporting their payroll team within the framework of a People Forward program. The ideal candidates will possess Canadian payroll expertise, adeptness with major business applications, and a knack for analyzing large datasets. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Have a minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in payroll processing and/or customer support on payroll systems.
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, with a major in Accounting or relevant field (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have previous experience with Oracle payroll.
  • Are familiar with UKG Pro Workforce Management (formerly UKG Dimensions) (this is considered an asset).
  • Have knowledge of General Ledger and Payroll Accounting.
  • Have a Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification (this is considered an asset)
  • Strong attention to detail yet can perform high volumes of work

Responsibilities:

Respond to customer inquiries, identify and resolve problems within Oracle payroll, inbound and outbound data transfer issues, support the creation and maintenance of new payroll elements, process mass payments and electronic funds transfers.

  • Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of payroll processes, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement changes to payroll systems and processes.
  • Generate functional and process documentation to facilitate understanding and adoption of new procedures.
  • Utilize expertise in Canadian payroll practices to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with regulations.
  • Create and maintain workbooks to support process design and sustainability, ensuring smooth operations throughout the organization.
  • Support the development and maintenance of functional specifications pertaining to any payroll changes to new and existing requirements.
  • Create and update operating and training manuals, and communicate system changes to end users in a timely manner.
  • Create and maintain user defined tables that house the information that supports the administration of payroll.
  • Contribute to the development of statistical and operational reports for core time and attendance and payroll functions.
  • Perform payroll corrections and ensuring that all payroll processes and practices meet payroll regulatory requirements.
