As a Business Analytics Consultant Sr. within PNC’s Balance Sheet Management organization, you can be based in Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Gaitherburg, MD; Atlanta, GA; Philadelphia, PA; or Birmingham, AL.
This position sits within PNC’s Balance Sheet Management function, providing modeling and analytics support to PNC.This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion.
Ideal candidate possesses a Master’s or PhD from a STEM-focused curriculum and knowledge of statistical modeling. Preferred degrees include STEM-designated economics programs, applied math or statistics, financial engineering, financial mathematics, or other statistically-intensive programs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver financial reporting performance metrics to key internal stakeholders and leadership, including Asset-Liability Management, Balance Sheet Analytics, and Finance and Accounting
  • Design financial models to predict and monitor company, peer, and industry performance. Areas of focus may include: projecting bank profitability through varying economic environments (CCAR), stress testing simulations (Recovery and Resolution Planning), risk and return of core lending and deposit products, and others
  • Leverage SQL, Python, and/or QRM (Quantitative Risk Management) to streamline data analysis and address modeling needs
  • Partner with Model Risk Management and other risk stakeholders in reviewing the validity and reliability of assumptions to identify opportunities for improvement

    Leverages complex analytical tools to provide business and technical expertise for the analytics process, tools and useful applications across multiple functions or business units to create data driven solutions.
    Consulting to clients on tool and strategy implementation and monitoring, statistical scoring, business intelligence, data quality, and analytical product / solution development.
    Determining the optimal analytic approach and supporting development, implementation and enhancements.
    Conceptualizing, developing and continuously optimizing analytical solution for operations and executive management to enable data driven decision making.
    Analyze results and make recommendations for key business partners and senior management or communicate conclusions from complex analytical solutions to a wide range of audiences.

    Work Experience
    Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired.
