We are currently seeking a Business Consultant to become a part of our established sales team. Supporting Ottawa and Eastern Ontario, you will engage new and existing clients in an effort to grow the territory. We are seeking someone who will uphold our sales philosophy of nurturing and supporting our clients in achieving their goals and setting them up for optimal success.
JOB SUMMARY:
Oversees the Dermalogica sales performance in the assigned geographical territory. Drives sales performance within the market area by creating a business plan, establishing a regular call plan to accounts, conducting market events, and helping the accounts grow with Dermalogica.
Assumes complete responsibility for prospecting, profiling, and opening Dermalogica accounts within their market area. Fully ensures there’s follow-up on leads generated by Dermalogica marketing and sales, as well as taking ownership for creating Consultant’s own account development pipeline to foster Dermalogica openings. Actively visits the market area, executing sales, marketing and other programs to achieve Dermalogica account openings.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must live within region – Ottawa, ON
- Certified Skin Therapist (esthetician) - optional
- Strong business acumen and experience in the skin, health and beauty industry
- Two years of field sales experience in the skin care or similar industry
- Valid driver’s license and own a car as this position requires travel
- Excellent written communication skills in English
- Have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
- As an ambassador of Dermalogica, the candidate must incorporate the company’s mission and commitment to its business partners at every point of contact with both internal and external clients
Responsibilities:
- Drive and meet sales targets in the region by ensuring the execution of strategic sales plans to grow and support accounts within the region.
- Meets monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for new account openings, in terms of numbers and dollars, by meeting or exceeding targets for cold-call activities, and field visits with identified and qualified leads.
- Using sell-through data, create actionable business plans in collaboration with accounts
- Implementing and supporting new promotions and product launches
- Supporting customers with merchandising display for maximum product exposure
- Maintain a clear routing of accounts in an outlook calendar with up to date and booked appointments
- Participating and supporting educational programs and trade shows
- 30% daily travels by car to visit, and depending on territory size, requires overnights monthly to service accounts outside of driving distance. The position requires regular attendance at sales meetings such as quarterly meetings and national sales meetings which will require overnight stays. Participating in regional or national trade shows may be a requirement.
