A Day in the Life of a Business Continuity Manager at Toll Group

  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to develop continuity strategies that are clear and actionable ensuring our readiness to navigate unforeseen challenges
  • Lead business impact and risk assessments, pinpointing potential threats and vulnerabilities to fortify our resilience against disruptions.
  • Drive engaging exercises to periodically assess and fine-tune our business continuity strategies, ensuring optimal effectiveness and readiness across the organisation.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by capturing pivotal insights and lessons learned from exercises and real incidents, paving the way for enhanced resilience.
  • Actively monitor and refine the execution of business continuity measures, staying agile and responsive to evolving threats and organizational needs.
  • Deliver dynamic training sessions empowering stakeholders with a comprehensive grasp of business continuity protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain a view to demonstrate the depth, status and extent of continuity plans across the organisation.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Extensive experience in business continuity management, demonstrating a track record of successfully implementing and managing continuity plans in diverse environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to influence and translate technical matters into business language and engage with stakeholders via different methods.
  • Adaptable, hands-on and collaborative team player with the ability to thrive in varied organizational settings and effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in integrating business continuity with IT disaster recovery, understanding the critical link between business operations and IT infrastructure resilience.
  • Prior experience in organisations with physical infrastructure, customer-centric operations, and geographically dispersed teams, ideally in sectors such as manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or retail.
