Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Control Manager to join our credit rating agency’s dynamic team, focusing on reinforcing controls by the first line of business. As a Business Control Manager, your primary responsibility will be the design, implementation and reinforcement of processes to enhance first line controls primarily related to client on-boarding, transmission of rating orders to analytical team, production of credit ratings and their release. Your role will play a crucial part in maintaining and improving the effectiveness of our operational procedures and entails a significant amount of coordination and project management with a problem-solving oriented attitude. The position offer potential for development of mentoring or managing junior resources.

Your tasks & responsibilities

  • Process Implementation: Design, develop, implement, processes and procedures within the operational processes in the analytical department.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for processes, procedures, and control enhancements, maintaining a clear and organized record of changes and updates.
  • Control Enhancement: Collaborate with the first line of business to identify control weaknesses and design solutions to strengthen first line controls effectively.
  • KPI Monitoring of outsourcing agreements
  • Responsible for first line controls: Exhibit strong project management skills to drive initiatives related to control enhancement and process optimization, including the following specific projects:
  • Coordination of Analyst Rotation: Oversee the coordination of analyst rotation within the first line of business.
  • Revision of regulatory disclosure and reporting procedures: take the lead in revising all regulatory disclosure and reporting procedures to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all first line activities align with regulatory standards, and monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations

  • Certification in project or process management is considered a plus, e.g. IPMA, Prince 2, SCRUM
