Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is looking for a Business Controller
We supply thousands of different vessel maintenance products, to thousands of different customers, in all corners of the world. Business Controllers play an essential role in the development of the company by providing analysis and decision material to executive management and our wider network.
The Business controller plays a vital role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making. You will work closely with the management team to provide insightful analysis, develop financial forecasts, and ensure efficient cost management. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a global shipping organization and make a tangible impact on our operations.
Who you will work with:
The Business Controller will report to the Head of Business Performance and Financial Planning. Joining a team of four other dedicated Business Controllers. Whilst coordinating and collaborating with relevant stakeholders in the broader WSS, Wilhelmsen Holding and other group companies may also be required.

What you will work on:

  • Performing analysis and benchmarking of financial and operational performance for different geographies and functions
  • Creating presentations and presenting findings to key decision-makers
  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis of financial results
  • Contributing to target setting for financial and operational KPIs while measuring the organization against these
  • Creating and managing PowerBI dashboards, while also ensuring robust and efficient report distribution
  • Day-to-day executive management support

What we believe you need to succeed in the role:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent, preferably in auditing/finance/business administration
  • 1 - 3 years of relevant working experience from either audit or consulting. Newly graduated students are also encouraged to apply
  • Ability to engage with all parts of the business and navigating across a diverse and international organization
  • Some experience with Business Intelligence platforms, especially PowerBI is an advantage
  • IT literate, holds good knowledge of MS Office with Excel and PowerPoint in particular
  • Fluent English (oral and written)
