Your Role
Working closely with Operations, Risk Management and Compliance, the role of the Business Control function is to maintain a robust control governance framework that supports the IFDSL global operating model; ensuring adherence to prescribed controls and procedures, monitoring performance against procedural controls and promoting a partnership approach with IFDSL Operational teams and our outsourcing service providers.
The Business Control Associate 2 is required to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of relevant key controls, alongside a broad understanding of related and interfacing Transfer Agency activities.
Effective management of your own day to day responsibilities is expected with an emphasis on department objectives and the implementation of the IFDS Luxembourg Control framework for existing and new relationships.
Your Team
This individual will be part of the Business Controls team dedicated to Transfer Agency specifically.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide support in the wider area of MIS analysis, continuous improvement and quality reviews including our outsourcing service providers who handle Luxembourg domiciled funds.
  • Build strong working relationships with management and staff across all functions to achieve operational control objectives.
  • Evaluate significant incident escalation forms ensuring root cause has been identified and robust preventative measures are considered and implemented.
  • Ensure appropriate internal controls and procedures are in place and adhered to in order to mitigate against operational risks.
  • Maintain the incidents monitoring log in a timely and accurate manner.

Your Profile
Experience and Knowledge

Essential

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience within a financial services or banking environment.
  • Experience of completing due diligence, audit reports or monitoring & testing reviews.
  • Fluency in English, both written & verbal communication.

Desirable

  • Procedural, technical and product knowledge of the Transfer Agency.
  • Experience in management of incidents.
  • Experience in working within Transfer Agency Operations.
  • Broad understanding of the wider funds industry.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.

Qualifications
Third level / university degree in a relevant discipline
