Business Developer – Marketing & Sales Manager
Location: Head Office, Toronto
Summary:
A Business Developer plays a crucial role in driving business growth by identifying and seizing new opportunities, while nurturing and managing existing client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention. This role demands a proactive, results-oriented individual with strong communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills. The Business Developer collaborates with cross-functional marketing, customer support, and product development to achieve sales targets and overall business objectives.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Demonstrate ownership of successes and setbacks, maintaining an entrepreneurial attitude towards business development.
  • Possess a curious mindset and the ability to explore situations and understand the needs of both clients and the market.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales plans, demonstrating a proactive approach to achieving sales targets.
  • Utilize strong project and financial management skills to ensure successfully implement business development initiatives.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams, including operations, sales, product development, and logistics.
  • Employ skillful and tactful negotiation techniques to find solutions, manage client relationships, and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities, potential clients, and markets, developing effective strategies for pursuing them.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular check-ins and follow-ups, ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business goals.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, addressing pricing, terms, and conditions to secure mutually beneficial arrangements.
  • Effectively manage client accounts by updating information, tracking client activity, and ensuring accurate billing and payment processes.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional products or services to existing clients.
  • Provide valuable feedback to the company regarding client needs, market trends, and other factors influencing sales and business development.

About you:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders, such as manufacturing operations, co-packers, and suppliers.
  • Capable of delivering accurate results in a fast-paced and dynamic atmosphere
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as in teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English
  • Expert in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Problem-solving and proactive approach, ability to think creatively addressing challenges.
  • Strong work ethic with a high integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work successfully with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
  • You are results-oriented, adaptive, flexible, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Must have the ability to travel to the United States.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.
  • With Minimum 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing specially US market.
  • Have contacts with US retailers and food service buyers.
  • Ability to launch and market new products.
  • Experience in online sales.
