Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering or an otherwise recognized ability to understand and to communicate technical subject matter, as well as general business acumen.
  • Experience with selling industrial equipment, automotive materials/metals processing, supplier experience with metal: rolling, stamping, steel facilities processing
  • General understanding of mechanics, electronics and optics. Negotiating and financial skills are preferable

Responsibilities:

Under the general supervision of the VP Sales & Marketing, this position is responsible for identifying new business development opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth in the assigned territory. New products including laser thickness measurement, forging analysis, flatness, profile measurement, as well as KELK core products for the metals rolling industry, materials processing, automotive materials applications.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company’s market presence within the sector.
  • Identify, analyze, and pursue new business opportunities, including making cold calls, market research, prospecting, and lead generation in sectors tangential or adjacent to company’s existing sectors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry influencers to drive business growth and revenue.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and product development to execute business strategies and meet objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to provide insights for product development and business enhancement.
  • Prepare and present business case proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve business development annual targets.
  • Develop and communicate probability of success / risk assessment for pursuit of new business opportunities with associated mitigations.
  • Travel as required to meet clients, attend industry events, and build networks. Expected international/domestic travel time about 50% of time.
  • Visiting end users and OEMs, prospecting for new customers. Developing sales strategy for the territory with support from VP Sales & Marketing and other sales management
  • Responding to all sales and technical inquiries. Responsible for coordinating the preparation of technical proposals and price quotations.
  • Preparing sales forecasts for the assigned territory routinely, as requested by the VP.
  • Assisting in the preparation of sales literature. Preparing presentation material and making presentations to agents, customers, and prospective customers both in the field and at KELK.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as requested by VP Sales.
