CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • Must have 2+ years of high-volume transaction sourcing experience in an investment banking setting, ideally within Software / Technology / TMT group).
  • Thorough understanding of investment process.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and a team player. Strong analytical skills, quick thinker on their feet, exceptional presentation skills.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Arrowroot Capital seeks a Business Development Associate for our Miami Office. This position will have a heavy emphasis on transaction sourcing and relationship development. Arrowroot’s Business Development Associates identify, contact and build relationships with Founders/Executives of successful private software companies that are identified as target companies based on the company’s financial metrics and market research, as well as Bankers. This person will play a significant role in supporting senior investment professionals in sourcing and evaluating investment transactions, acting as Arrowroot’s first filter.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transaction sourcing, assessment and tracking of new investment opportunities.
  • Produce a high-volume of outbound contacts such as phone calls and email prospecting to potential portfolio companies and/or their Private Equity owners.
  • Build relationships with Entrepreneurs and Executives of privately held companies to source new investment opportunities.
  • Work with the Managing Partner to set quality meetings with potential Portfolio companies and/or Bankers.
  • Conduct market research to ensure the tracking and awareness of relevant industry events, market updates, and press releases.
  • Represent Arrowroot at conferences and/or trade shows; contribute to Arrowroot’s database of private companies.
  • Helping manage portfolio company relationships and strategic projects, support in operating plan development, strategic initiatives and corporate development.
  • Investment due diligence (financial, competitive, strategic, etc.).
