WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Business development: Able to develop and support the closure of opportunities with new accounts across the business development life cycle, from pipeline generation to close. Familiarity with business development tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and HubSpot. Familiarity with business development in either the public or the private sectors
  • Stakeholder relationships: Able to build and manage credible and versatile relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly for communicating complicated technical concepts and linking solutions to business outcomes to stakeholders of varying levels of seniority and technical knowledge
  • Problem solving and commercial research: practical problem solver with strong analytical skills in market and commercial research. You have experience translating technical concepts to how they can help solve novel client problems.
  • Project management: you are detail-oriented and can balance multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with a diverse group of teams to get things done. You have experience managing deal processes.
  • Technical understanding: basic technical skills and data science knowledge. Comfortable working with technical teams and discussing technical solutions & data.
  • Experience selling complex software and services, ideally from a high growth technology or professional services organisation with exposure to the life sciences organisations.

Responsibilities:

As a Business Development Associate in our Life Sciences function, you’ll be working for a Business Unit on the cutting edge of implementing AI across the life sciences sector. This role will encompass a broad range of activities and responsibilities.
First and foremost, you’ll be developing new leads and qualified opportunities and building trusted relationships with prospects. You will also focus on establishing a deep familiarity with Faculty’s technology and service offerings and the ways in which they solve problems for our customers. This will help you ensure you meet and exceed your stated qualified lead quota.
You will also be responsible for executing market mapping, competitor analysis and an assessment of Faculty differentiators, to help inform subsequent commercial strategies.
