Description:

This Business Development Director (BDD) is a true, new business sales hunter for a SaaS platform product here at Inmar. Drawing from extensive success in previous selling roles, this seasoned, top-performing sales professional knows how to target prospects, close deals and aggressively drive new revenue for a relatively new product, focused on Deductions in the CPG industry.
Able to juggle multiple targeted lists including cold prospects, internal referrals and outside leads, the BDD is an autonomous go getter. The BDD is adept at continuous self-learning of new concepts, services and products, and conveying them in a compelling way to their target buyers. Experience in any adjacent work in deductions management, accounting or more specifically Accounts Receivables in a plus.
Primary Accountabilities:

Influence (60%)

  • Reach and develop strategic relationships at the client’s C-suite and senior level within accounting/finance departments
  • Leverage Inmar’s market position to drive strategic solutions in a complex sales environment
  • Sell software and consultative solutions for selected vertical markets
  • Work autonomously and manage presentations and strategy associated with sales with little to no assistance from their Sales Leader
  • Manage internal cross functional relationships and communications for maximum productivity

Strategic (30%)

  • Develop vertical expertise in order to successfully execute sales objectives
  • Develop a deep knowledge of assigned clients/prospects
  • Create and fully develop innovative networking skills to drive a pipeline for assigned solutions
  • Create and deliver value-based pricing at the decision maker level
  • Manage a complex sales environment involving multiple decision makers

Operational (10%)

  • Maintain detailed, accurate records in Salesforce.com
  • Proactively manage internal communications within and outside of the Sales team, as appropriate

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related degree
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of related work experience selling SaS products, especially deductions management solutions or accounts payable solutions to CPG or Retailers; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for this position
  • Sales experience with financial services also a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and winning business in a highly competitive environment; ability to sell across products and a variety of different solutions; ability to negotiate contracts, deal with price pressure and successfully produce with strong profit margins; ability to discern the solution that is best for the customer and the value range they are willing to pay
  • Good decision making, knowing when to leverage additional resources to move deals past obstacles
  • Proficient with Salesforce.com
  • Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite producing professional business correspondence, proposals and reports
  • Experience with the Miller Heiman sales methodology and the consultative sales approach
