Purpose
As the Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in generating revenue through direct sales activities, cold calling, and contract negotiations, ensuring to capitalise on every potential opportunity for business growth for a small portfolio of properties located in New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory

The Role

  • Base Salary range of $86,000 - $91,000 + Super + Bonus upon successful achievement of KPI’s
  • Position can be based in either Sydney or Canberra supporting a portfolio of properties within the regions
  • This position offers the flexibility to WORK YOUR WAY, allowing you to work both from the office and remotely from home Monday through Friday

Primary Responsibilities

  • Actively seek out new business opportunities and remain persistent in pursuing leads. Show high levels of energy and enthusiasm in all business activities
  • Reach out to potential clients through phone calls, emails, and other direct communication methods to discuss property services and products
  • Identify and generate leads through various channels, including networking, online research, and industry events
  • Engage with decision-makers at various organisational levels to understand their needs and present tailored solutions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key corporate clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for additional services
  • Target group bookings, including meetings, conferences, and events, and customise packages to meet their specific requirements
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth specific to the region and property
  • Continuously seek out new sales opportunities through proactive outreach efforts rather than waiting for inbound inquiries
  • Reporting to the Director of Sales on sales activities, progress, and challenges. Provide updates on market conditions and feedback from clients

Skills and Experience

  • Proven sales and customer service experience within a hospitality environment is highly desirable
  • A natural conversationalist who enjoys engaging with clients and colleagues alike. A friendly demeanour makes for easy and approachable interactions
  • Strong determination to secure new business and achieve sales targets, always striving to exceed expectations
  • You prioritise the needs and satisfaction of clients, ensuring that every interaction is geared towards delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships
