An exciting opportunity is available for a Business Development Manager with a focus on Air freight, to join the team and contribute to the continued success of the Victorian branch and company.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Leveraging your expertise and industry knowledge, you will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, forging partnerships with key stakeholders, and expanding market presence within air freight.

As a key member the team you will have the freedom to pursue ideas, be entrepreneurial while always being accountable with targets and KPI’s. Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities, including potential customers, partners, and industry collaborators, through targeted outreach and networking efforts.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand our client portfolio
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms
  • Work with the State Sales Manager to develop strategies and activities to support existing customer relationships and grow new accounts
  • Engage with senior stakeholders and teams to develop value added solutions
  • Provide quotes to clients in a timely manner
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and market trends to track progress towards goals and identify areas for improvement or optimisation

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented individual, capable of handling a variety of tasks with efficiency and enthusiasm. You will also have:

  • Experience in Air freight processes either domestically or internationally
  • Demonstrated history of achieving sales success and fostering business growth in the logistics sector
  • Responsible and driven individual committed to delivering high-quality service
  • Capability to execute strategic plans effectively
  • Effective persuasion abilities
  • Excellent client relationship management skills with a focus on problem-solving
