Description:

I am delighted to be working with an award-winning accountancy firm that is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. In this newly created role, you will be required to drive business development activity through their corporate sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to be market-facing, developing sales opportunities directly with clients.

Some key responsibilities.

  • Work with Sector Heads to develop and deliver a Business Development strategy across the corporate sectors.
  • Work closely with Non-Audit Service teams to identify revenue growth through both the existing client base and new market opportunities.
  • Proactively secure meetings with clients and targets in line with the identified strategies above.
  • Champion and role model best practice sales behaviors in line with the firmwide sales methodology.
  • Promote best practice in maintaining the firmwide pipeline in the new CRM system.
  • Potential to develop a key account programme across the firm.
  • Attend networking events to build strong relationships with key prospects

Criteria to be considered:

  • Experience in developing and executing Business Development strategies in a relationship/advisory based environment.
  • Experience in building and executing a commercial targeting plan.
  • Working knowledge and use of a sales methodology to drive best practices.
  • Experienced in influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Proven success in developing external key influencer relationships to commercial benefit.
  • Experience in a professional services environment would be an advantage.
