AV Media Systems is in its 23rd year of business and is nationally accredited as a professional AV Integration company. Our NSW branch is based in Alexandria, covering the entire Sydney basin and regional areas, we supply and install commercial-grade audio-visual equipment to the educational, government, and corporate sectors.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in lead identification, qualification, and demonstrated B2B skills Technical an asset (some years experience would be great, but if you can talk the talk even better).
  • Product knowledge or sales-related experience.
  • Candidate must possess drive, determination, goals orientation, exceptional time management, and customer service skills.
  • Able to communicate at all levels. Must have strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to plan, organize and deliver to objectives.
  • Target-driven and effective self-starter.
  • Both are a strong team players and an individual who can work autonomously in a multi-tasking environment.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

AV Media Systems is seeking a Business Development Manager with a proven track record to join the business development team in our expanding NSW office located in Alexandria. Reporting directly to the state manager, your role will focus on clients primarily interested in Pro AV Solutions. The core purpose of this role is prospecting new clients and onboarding them while nurturing and building relationships with our existing client base. You will meet customers to determine their desired solution and work with our internal team and vendor network to design and implement the right solution.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

You are tasked to meet sales and meetings KPIs as set by the Directors from time to time. Typical daily tasks will include:

  • Seeking out new clients using our established database as well as your own independent and innovative sourcing avenues.
  • Arrange meetings with prospective clients and present custom solutions and demonstrate cutting-edge AV technology and hardware.
  • Design AV solutions based on customers’ needs/ wants.
  • Identify major exhibitions and represent AV Media Systems as an exhibitor.
  • Effectively onboard all new clients and enter properties into our CRM system.
  • Strong focus on managing the administration component through the whole new sales process.
  • Researching, cold calling, emailing, following up on referrals, tenders, and old business contacts.
  • Re-establish previous clients by using creativity and drive to create unique new ways of finding business opportunities.
  • Research and understand the latest AV technology and trends in the education sector.
  • This role will suit a self-driven, credible IT/ Technology sales professional able to take a consultative, solutions-led approach to the education AV market.
