Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to drive sales growth across multiple market segments for our innovative modular housing solutions. While a core focus will be on penetrating the social housing sector with Registered Providers, you will also be responsible for expanding our reach into private residential, commercial, and other relevant sectors in the UK construction market.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies tailored to key target markets, including social housing (Registered Providers), private residential, commercial, and other high-potential segments.
  • Be highly familiar with the Buildoffsite Property Assurance Scheme (BOPAS) and incorporate this knowledge into sales strategies, ensuring ability to provide assurance of compliance for clients.
  • Identify, engage, and build strong relationships with decision-makers across housing associations, developers, contractors, investors, and other prospective clients.
  • Effectively articulate the unique value proposition, highlighting our sustainable, high-quality, and efficient modular construction approach.
  • Spearhead proposals, tender responses, and contract negotiations to secure major project opportunities across market verticals.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, competitor landscapes, and legislative impacts affecting our core offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure modular solutions meet stringent quality, budgetary, sustainability and regulatory criteria.
  • Establish and nurture a robust multi-segment pipeline, leveraging CRM systems to track all activities.
  • Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade shows to elevate brand awareness and acquire new business leads.
  • Achieve sales targets and revenue goals across assigned market segments and territories.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Proven success in B2B sales within construction, modular building, or related sectors, with a track record of securing contracts with high-value clients.
  • Strong grasp of market dynamics across social housing (Registered Providers), private residential, commercial, and other relevant construction verticals.
  • Knowledge of the Buildoffsite Property Assurance Scheme in practice
  • Excellent commercial acumen in developing tailored, value-driven solutions to address diverse client needs.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to convey complex offerings persuasively.
  • Self-motivated professional with a consultative selling approach and hunger to open new markets.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK to engage with prospective clients.
