BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Foodini is an innovative technology startup that has developed a cutting-edge platform designed to connect individuals with specific dietary needs to restaurants and venues that can cater to their unique dietary profiles. They believe in empowering people to make informed dining choices while providing restaurants with a valuable tool to enhance their guest experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Sales Leader, your primary focus will be on driving sales growth in the restaurant and hospitality market by effectively promoting and selling the platform’s services. You will play a pivotal role in expanding the customer base and establishing long-term partnerships with restaurant owners and senior decision-makers.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to target and acquire restaurants and hospitality groups as customers.
  • With almost 10,000 listed venues on Foodini, the team have stacked your sales pipeline. Now it’s time to convert their initial free listings into monthly subscriptions.
  • Identify potential new clients or verticals, conduct market research, and stay updated on industry trends to capitalise on new business opportunities.
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent progress towards meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Build relationships with potential channel partners and amplify your sales efforts with their support.
  • Attend relevant industry events, consumer exhibitions and networking functions.

Relationship Management:

  • Establish and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including restaurant owners, general managers, and executive teams.
  • Understand their unique needs and pain points, demonstrating how our platform can address their specific challenges effectively.

Product Expertise:

  • Become an expert on our platform’s features, capabilities, and benefits to effectively communicate its value proposition to potential customers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations tailored to the needs of restaurant owners and decision-makers.
  • Feedback to - and collaborate with - our product team in order to improve the Foodini offering towards market needs.
  • Work with the executive team on pricing strategies and commercial terms.

Sales Collateral and Proposals:

  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop compelling sales collateral, case studies, and proposals to support the sales process.
  • Create persuasive sales pitches and materials to showcase the advantages of our platform to potential clients.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and generate leads in the restaurant and hospitality market.
  • Work closely with the customer success team to ensure smooth onboarding and exceptional post-sales support for new clients.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in the technology or hospitality industry, with a focus on selling to owners and senior decision-makers.
  • Must be strong and currently in role that is Outbound focused, with skills in cold calling, prospecting and networking.
  • Strong understanding of the restaurant and hospitality market, including its challenges and opportunities. A solid black book of contacts is a bonus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented, with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to travel nationally as needed to meet with potential clients in various locations.
