THE COMPANY

This well-known and trusted national manufacturer and distributor of LV electrical and industrial automation products is seeking a Business Development Manager in Brisbane.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • An electrical trade or engineering qualification is preferred, but not essential.
  • Solid sales experience coupled with an industrial automation background.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team, to learn, and create solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing & executing sales action plans aligned with the state strategy.
  • A hunter mentality! Researching and identifying new prospects and sales opportunities, whilst developing and establishing key accounts.
  • Organising & planning a minimum 8-10 face to face meetings with active/prospective customers per week
  • Establishing senior level relationships with customers.
  • Following a sales process to effectively qualify, develop, and close customer opportunities.
  • Collaborating with both local and national teams to ensure that effective resources are allocated to opportunities.
  • Supplying accurate information to the management team through the CRM.
  • Proven application knowledge and ability to manage sales activities through a consultative sales approach.
  • Attending industry related events for business development, networking & market intelligence
