Description:

They are seeking a highly experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our esteemed lighting design and landscape design studio based in London.
The ideal candidate requires at least 10 years of experience and will bring a wealth of knowledge and a strong network of contacts, particularly within the architectural, development, and interior design communities in London.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, design, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales within the design industry, with a strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Proven experience and established relationships within the architectural, development, and interior design communities in London.
- Knowledge of lighting design and landscape design principles is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyse market trends, identify opportunities, and develop effective sales strategies.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to travel as needed for client meetings, events, and site visits.
- A passion for design and a commitment to delivering exceptional service and solutions to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to promote our lighting design and landscape design services to top architects, developers, and interior designers in London.
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing clients while actively seeking out new business opportunities.
- Identify key decision-makers and influencers within target companies and develop tailored approaches to engage with them effectively.
- Collaborate closely with our design team to understand the unique selling points of our services and effectively communicate them to potential clients.
- Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade shows to expand our presence in the market and stay abreast of industry trends.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients, showcasing our capabilities and solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring terms are favourable and in line with company objectives.
- Track sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about competitor activities and market developments, adapting strategies as necessary to maintain a competitive edge.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for our studio, embodying our values of creativity, innovation, and excellence in every interaction.
