Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather detailed sales, customer visit, new customer, activity reports, business opportunities, and competitor information to report during weekly catch-up calls with Key Account Manager (KAM) and Sales Director.
  • Collaborate with the technical and product development team to collect customer feedback and drive product improvements.
  • Source, analyze, and qualify a strategic pipeline of new and profitable business opportunities, develop proposals, and create presentations for key stakeholders.
  • Maintain a prospect and account customer activity database using tools and systems such as the Opportunity Pipeline Tracker (OPT).
  • Prepare and manage a sales budget, forecast, track, and report on key performance indicator (KPI) targets, pipeline status, and revenue objectives.
  • Take ownership of delivering results, surpassing agreed targets, and continuously striving to enhance personal performance.
  • Work closely with field sales colleagues and other key stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Technical) to identify and develop commercial initiatives and secure new business opportunities.
  • Generate and capitalize on new ideas and opportunities through active engagement across multiple channels, including traditional, digital, and mobile platforms.
  • Promptly and effectively identify customer requirements, employ a consultative approach, and demonstrate a creative and positive attitude in understanding customer needs, goals, business risks, and potential to achieve mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Promote the company’s complete product portfolio and capabilities with confidence, utilizing exceptional active selling skills to maximize account potential through range-selling, cross-selling, value-selling, and presenting complex solutions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in every interaction to delight customers.
  • Prepare and submit formal business tenders and proposals for new commercial opportunities.
  • Stay ahead of competitors by continuously monitoring industry and competitor trends and developments, bringing forward fresh ideas for new business opportunities, and keeping key stakeholders (Sales Manager, Marketing, etc.) informed.
  • Establish and expand contacts and opportunities by leveraging networking opportunities through various sources such as conferences, events, and social media to increase James Walker’s brand awareness.
  • Contribute to and manage a sales budget, forecast, track, and report on KPI targets, gross margin, sales growth, new customers, pipeline status, and revenue objectives.
  • Develop positive and productive relationships with colleagues across the organization and closely collaborate with key stakeholders (e.g., Internal Sales Team, Marketing) throughout the sales process.
  • Continuously learn and update personal knowledge by actively participating in learning events, conducting research, reading professional publications, and engaging in internal and external workshops and associated events.
