Superior Glove Works Ltd.is currently seeking a Business Development Manager, Industrial Safety or internally known as a Hand Safety Program Manager. This position is based in their home office and has the ability to travel up to 60% - 70% of the time, across Canada.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years business to business (B2B) sales experience and 3 years proven project management experience
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field.
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, a health and safety designation; must be an expert in PPE.
  • Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to lead projects from conception through to successful implementation.
  • CRM / SalesForce proficiency is mandatory
  • Experience in commercial sales within industrial markets, with a track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing large-scale improvement programs within industrial settings, with a specific focus on safety or related areas.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders
  • Analytical, self-motivated and results-driven, with a commitment to high standards of performance and continuous improvement.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license with satisfactory driving record; must be willing and able to travel

Responsibilities:

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the VP Canadian & International Sales, the Hand Safety Program Manager will lead our hand safety improvement initiatives within large industrial environments. The ideal candidate will be adept at engaging with stakeholders at various levels, from the production floor to the C-suite, to understand their unique challenges, develop and drive execution of tailored project plans for enhancing hand safety.
The successful candidate will be based in their home office and must be willing and able to travel throughout Canada, with extended stays.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively seek new business opportunities through outreach / lead generation, focusing on developing programs for the end-user.
  • Conduct market research to stay up to date on industry trends, customer needs and competitors.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand and document specific hand safety issues faced by each customer. Prepare and deliver presentations on Hand Safety Program to potential end-users.
  • Translate customer needs into actionable project plans using our established methodology for hand safety improvement, ensuring alignment with customer objectives and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of hand safety initiatives, leveraging data to demonstrate improvements and ROI to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborate with other internal team members to develop and continuously improve program.
  • Develop HSP plan for all territories in conjunction with internal teams to increase sales leveraging the Hand Safety Program.
  • Attending industry events and conferences to promote the program, our products and services
  • Establish and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders within large industrial end-users, including operational staff, safety officers, and executive leadership.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes related to hand safety
  • Develop and maintain in depth product knowledge for credibility.
  • Remain current with all administrative tasks to support success (i.e., including tracking and reporting on metrics, Salesforce entries, etc.).
  • 60%-70%+ travel required, including nights and weekends throughout Canada
