Responsibilities:
- Create and implement market engagement strategies to seek and develop commercial relationships aligned to Metcash’s primary freight strategy.
- Explore opportunities to drive innovation to develop new avenues for business growth.
- Develop proposals, quotes or responses to open market opportunities from ideation through to execution.
- Manage commercial relationships to achieve favourable terms to ensure best pricing and service from any newly sought opportunities.
- Establish and report on metrics to evaluate performance and compliance to contractual obligations and analyse data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvements.
You’re Likely a Match If
- Experience in a freight/ logistics business development function
- Proven record of business growth, client relations, negotiation and networking
- Exceptional project management, written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Interpersonal skills and a commitment to professional conduct
- Commercial acumen and an ability to achieve growth outcomes and evaluate which opportunities are likely to yield the greatest return on investment.
