Navigating the position: Business Development Manager
As a Business Development Manager (BDM) at Ocean Technologies, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building strong relationships with potential clients, and effectively communicating the value of our products or services, particularly those in the maritime and oceanographic sectors.
Your goal will be to understand the unique needs and challenges of these clients, ensuring that Ocean Technologies’ solutions are perfectly aligned with their goals, thereby driving growth for both the clients and the company.

Your Voyage Ahead:

  • Strategic Sales Initiatives: Develop and execute strategic sales plans based on thorough market analysis. Use advanced CRM analytics to inform and drive sales decisions.
  • Client Communication and Influence: Utilize advanced communication and presentation skills to influence decision-makers, build consensus, and tailor messages to diverse audiences.
  • Problem Solving and Solution Development: Engage in identifying client-specific issues and collaboratively develop effective solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Leverage negotiation skills to secure favorable contract terms. Manage contracts efficiently, ensuring compliance and maximizing profitability.
  • Product and Industry Proficiency: Gain a basic technical understanding of OTG products and services, particularly in the maritime and oceanographic sectors. Effectively communicate product features and benefits to clients.
  • Business Development: Proven ability to build pipelines, prospect new business opportunities, and close deals. Apply skilled negotiation and conflict resolution techniques to deliver client-focused solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Maintain a basic understanding of maritime technology sectors, including familiarity with key industry players and trends.

Recommended to bring on board:

EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT:

Preferred bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.

Professional Background:

  • Experience in new business sales, preferably within SaaS businesses.
  • Must be fluent in English and German; Turkish proficiency is an advantage.

Expected Areas of Competence:

  • Strong ability to understand and communicate technical products and services related to ocean technologies.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office suite.
  • Ability to swiftly identify and address client needs with comprehensive solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
