About the role:
We are looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our Organisations team to help us grow our market share and customer base across numerous and various segments. As a BDM you will join our growing sales team within our commercial division and identify and deliver business opportunities in line with our commercial growth objectives.
In this role you will be responsible for new business acquisition as well as for expanding our profitability with existing customers.
The Key Segments of the B2B space you will be responsible for include:

What’s involved:

  • Managing and leveraging our existing National and State based (SA/NT/TAS) preferred supplier relationships with key Organisations groups across Facilities Management and maintenance. You will also identify new opportunities at a local level and work with the in-store trade team and trade specialist team to develop growth strategies.
  • Engaging with all government and education departments (local, state, and federal) to strengthen relationships and create new sales opportunities. You will also develop strategies around RFI (Request for Information) that leads to opportunities for tendering for government projects across all departments.
  • Leveraging our existing national preferred supplier relationships with key segments in the visitor economy sector. Liaising with existing groups and finding new to partner with. You will also engage with state bodies in these segments to develop and grow opportunities.
  • Managing and working with key partners in the relevant segments to build relationships and opportunities to grow our member base. These include aged care, assisted living, childcare, education, mining and primary producers.
  • You will also account manage a base of direct accounts. B2B and B2C selling across these segments.

You’ll need:

  • A proven track record of business development and sales in the relevant segments, including record of meeting sales quotas and allocated budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans and contracts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.
  • A passion for customer service and delivering value.
  • High level of commercial acumen and analytical skills.
  • COS & CCRM experience highly desirable.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
  • Experience in B2B or commercial discipline highly regarded.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within your territory.
