WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam’s mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to the values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion, and our feminist, anti-racist and decolonial principles.
An ideal candidate will also have these skills/experience:
- A commercial outlook based on significant experience securing new business in a consultancy, corporate or charity setting
- A proactive, creative, and strategic thinker - able to identify opportunities and drive forward a pipeline of new proposals for private sector consultancy-based engagements
- Understanding of the role of the private sector in poverty reduction, human rights, gender inequality and sustainable development
- Knowledge of marketing and marketing techniques
- A confident communicator with the ability to develop and deliver presentations to a range of audiences in an inspiring and engaging way; and produce clear and persuasive proposals and reports
- Strong relationship building skills, including listening, questioning, building rapport and understanding the needs and values of individuals and organisations
- Ability to negotiate effectively, budget accurately and agree commercial contracts
- Ability to accurately forecast likelihood and size of opportunities and report on progress towards financial targets

Oxfam GB is looking for a Business Development Manager for the Oxfam Business Advisory Service.
In this role, you will secure new business, by building networks and relationships with companies and developing compelling proposals that meet both client and Oxfam objectives.
Oxfam Business Advisory Service supports companies to improve their impact in global supply chains. We enable businesses to access the wealth of experience and expertise within Oxfam to strengthen corporate strategies, policies and actions on human rights, labour rights and gender.
