Currently, we are looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager Southern Africa.
As a Business Development Manager specializing in hospitality technology solutions, your main goal is revenue growth. You’ll achieve this by identifying, cultivating, and securing partnerships with hotels looking to improve guest experiences and operational efficiency through innovative technology. The objective is to promote long-term sustainable growth.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in the hospitality industry
  • Proven track record of success in a senior sales role or a relevant position
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; fluency in a second language would be an advantage
  • Willingness to support and mentor less experienced team members, sharing knowledge through additional projects
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on processes
  • Commercially savvy with a strong understanding of business dynamics
  • Strong networking skills to foster relationships and drive sales opportunities

Responsibilities:

  • Driving sales within the assigned territory (Southern Africa with primary focus in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana)
  • Meet or exceed sales targets by executing a strategic approach to improve market share
  • Understand and communicate Profitroom’s USPs
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to build brand recognition
  • Establishing and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities, up-selling and cross-selling
  • Represent Profitroom at trade shows, forums, and conferences to increase the company’s profile throughout Southern Africa
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct market research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Prepare and manage sales contracts in compliance with legal regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
  • Provide reliable feedback and after-sales support to clients
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Mentor and develop entry-level staff to enhance their sales skills
  • Ensure and upkeep internal procedures including the upkeep of CRM
