Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work at Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust develop a commercially focused approach to business planning and contribute to the overall development and implementation of the Trust’s Annual Business Plan. The role will ensure that the Trust is able to grow in a changing and challenging environment and supporting the Trust to achieve its key annual income growth and efficiency savings targets. Reporting to the Associate Director Business Development, the post holder will take a lead role in delivering business planning within the Trust and support opportunities in relation to service growth and project management of bids and tenders. This will include the development of Directorate Business Plans and other commercial proposals that lead to business growth in a range of markets.
This role will be the key business development management lead, managing the business case process in terms of assessing investment proposals and supporting the Trust’s financial assurance of its improvement and sustainability programmes. The post holder will be the provider of highly specialised business development advice and guidance to the Trust to inform decision-making in regard to effective and efficient management of resource allocation. This will require highly developed knowledge and expertise to advise the Directorates response as the health economy landscape evolves.

The role will support the planning and delivery of finance improvement programmes and work collaboratively with project managers and senior managers and clinicians to deliver financially viable services. Supporting the identification and delivery of efficiency and productivity programmes, the role will give financial challenge to ideas and proposals and provide robust monitoring and reporting of benefits as they are implemented.
The post holder will be required to test and challenge efficiency and productivity programmes with project leads and other managers to confirm benefits realised and performance against assigned KPIs for assurance purposes
