Are you ready to take on a dynamic role that drives growth and innovation in the Renewable Energy and Gas Technology (RE&G) sector for the Industrial Valves, valve automation products and Pumps business. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and contribute to our organisation’s short and long-term goals.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new business opportunities in the RE&G sector. You will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing strategic plans, enhancing our competitive position, and building long-term relationships with clients and partners.
This role is flexible and can be based in either Melbourne or Sydney. We encourage candidates from both cities to apply.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of industry trends and market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategic plans.
  • Lead meetings and negotiations with potential clients and partners.
  • Provide insights to enhance the organization’s competitive position.
  • Conduct regular analyses of macroeconomic factors and market trends.
  • Build Valmet network and brand name in the respective market.
  • Engage with Area Sales Management to drive RE&G sales targets.
  • Monthly reporting to the Country Manager.
  • Maintain sales funnel in CRM by working with the local sales team.
  • Work with local Sales Management and regional sales to create competitive advantage.
  • Engage with international Valmet teams to develop growth strategies.
  • Develop long-term relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Develop relationships with the Valmet distribution network to develop growth strategies.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Understanding of industrial valves or similar equipment and the designated market segment.
  • Proven track record of successful business development and strategic planning.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of industry and market trends.
  • Demonstrates a leading approach to safety, reporting proactive improvements.
