Our online power purchase agreement (PPA) platform is the cornerstone of our offering in the UK, and we’re currently active in Germany and expanding into more international markets. We add value to our clients while ensuring that we take an ethical, client-first approach to everything we do.
We are a small but mighty team of 15, mainly based in the centre of Bristol. We value integrity, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Role
In your role as Business Development Manager you’ll be a crucial part of the UK sales team, responsible for growing and expanding our client base by finding and converting new generator accounts.
Tasks
What you’ll be doing at Renewable Exchange

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE:

  • Experienced in the energy industry, preferably with a background in power purchase agreements. We are looking for an applicant with 2-10 years of industry or business development experience.
  • Commercially focused and able to deliver superb sales results whilst delivering outstanding service to clients.
  • An excellent communicator through phone, video calls, email and in-person meetings, with experience pitching to company directors or equivalent.
  • Motivated and driven to deliver the best service possible to our clients and develop long-term relationships.
  • Confident with presenting complex data sets to deliver high-level insights and analytics to key clients.
  • Passionate about sustainability and accelerating the journey to net-zero.

Responsibilities:

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:

  • Identify, target and acquire new owners of renewable energy projects (such as investment funds, asset managers and developers) to support customers in optimising the sale of their electricity.
  • Take full ownership of a business development pipeline, delivering value to clients through a relationship-focused sales process.
  • Develop or build upon an in-depth understanding of the UK power market and use this expertise to communicate market insights to our clients.
  • Build strong client relationships by communicating regularly, travelling to in-person meetings and networking at industry events.
  • Be curious! Find innovative ways of adding value to our clients through different consultancy, reporting and optimisation services.
