Description:

Company Overview: We are a privately owned family business headquartered in Holland, specializing in lifting equipment with a focus on container spreaders. With a successful track record in the Vietnamese market for the past 15 years, serving private and government-linked port terminals, we are poised to capitalize on Vietnam’s fast-growing economy over the next five (5) years.
Position Overview: We are looking for a seasoned Senior Marketing, Sales, and PR Consultant to spearhead our business development efforts in Vietnam. The ideal candidate will facilitate our expansion into the port terminal sector; while also fostering potential joint ventures in production, assembly, and after-sales services with local entrepreneurs.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fluency in the local language, customs, and strong connections within the Vietnamese port authorities and business community.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, marketing, and public relations, with a focus on navigating Vietnamese business customs and culture.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including private businessmen and government officials in the ports industry.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to assist in finalizing and executing the company’s roadmap for the Vietnam market.
  • Experience in identifying and fostering potential joint venture opportunities for production and after-sales services.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide comprehensive quarterly progress reports to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Educate the company’s sales team on Vietnamese customs, culture, and business traditions, particularly in dealing with high-level stakeholders.
  • Mentor and train a senior sales specialist to become an expert in the Vietnamese market within a 2-year timeframe.
  • Facilitate introductions between top management personnel and key private businessmen and relevant government officials in Vietnam.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director to finalize and implement the company’s roadmap for the Vietnam market.
  • Identify and introduce potential investors interested in joint ventures for production and after-sales services.
  • Provide quarterly progress reports to the Managing Director, detailing achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
